Talana Limousin enjoyed their first bull sale at the AgGrow selling complex, Emerald where the bulls reached a top $11,000.
A total of 20 of the bulls sold from 26 sold for an average of $5600, representing 76 per cent clearance.
Lawrence and Pat Hack, Rocklea, Alpha paid the top price of $11,000 for Talana Poll Marco (P) a French Pure bull with a 148sq cm eye muscle area, and he was sired by Talana Poll Hannibal (P) (PU)
The Hack family also purchased the second top priced bull at $800 Talana Poll Monarco (French Pure) a 1070kg, an eye musle area of 148sq cm and sired by Talana Poll Helix.
GM Pedersen & Son at Wyseby Station, Rolleston purchased a total of six bulls to average $5583.
Banana district cattle producers Robert and Melanie Leather, purchased a total of five bulls to average $4900.
Coobyanga Grazing, Clermont purchased four bulls to average $5500.
Robert Murray, Elders Rockhampton said he was very pleased with the results.
“These vendors have repeat buyers who continue to purchase year in year out, so you know that the bulls are doing the job they are bought to do,” Mr Murray said.
