David and Prue Bondfield are set to offer 172 bulls at their 34th annual on-property bull sale at Strathgarve, Dalveen.
It will be the largest draft of Charolais bulls in Australia, with 107 up for grabs, as well as 65 Ultrablack sires.
Mr Bondfield said he believed what makes a great bull can be summed up by one word, and thats the word balance.
The 2017 sale topped at $40,000, three times for Palgrove Legacy (P), Palgrove Legend (P (RF) and Palgrove Lustre (P).
It has been a busy year for the operation with Palgrove being named the overall winner in the 100 day class of the RNAs Paddock to Palate competition. Their purebred Charolais steers also won reserve champion carcase in the 100 day class.
