A total yarding of 792 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on Thursday.

Steers over 550kg sold to 286c and averaged 280c, while steers 400- 550kg sold to 289c, averaging 277c. BJ & E Radel & Sons Pty Ltd, Burenda, Augathella sold Brahman cross steers to 289c, reaching a top of $1853 to average $1613. AR Roberts, Tantatton, Wallumbilla sold Hereford cross steers to 286c, reaching a top of $1854 to average $1766.

Tamarang Pastoral Co, Roma sold Brangus steers to 285c, reaching a top of $1694 to average $1661. RC Business, Yingerbay, Roma sold Charolais cross steers to 283c, reaching a top of $1521 to average $1473. PB & RM O’Brien, Ivanhoe, Roma sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 281c, reaching a top of $1611 to average $1543.

Heifers over 450kg made to 254c and averaged 240c, heifers 350-450kg sold to 235c, averaging 208c. Earle Grazing Pty Ltd sold Charolais cross heifers to 245c, reaching a top of $1262 to average $1243. RL & MJK Taylor, Wynrose, Wallumbilla sold Charolais cross heifers to 243c, reaching a top of $1106 to average $1106.

Cows over 500kg peaked at 236c and averaged 217c, while cows in the 400- 500kg class topped at 228c and averaged 192c. Keddstock Pty Ltd, Moongool, Yuleba sold Charolais cows to 236c, reaching a top of $1456 to average $1125. Gwenbrook Farms, Gwenbrook, Roma sold Santa cross cows to 231c, reaching a top of $1357 to average $910.

Double M Partnership, Glanworth, Charleville sold Cross breed cows to 229c, reaching a top of $1395 to average $1150. Paul Currin, Elward Downs, Longreach sold Droughtmaster cows to 228c, reaching a top of $1,139 to average $998. Moonya Pastoral Co, Moonya, Roma sold Droughtmaster cross cows to 222c, reaching a top of $1244 to average $951.

Bulls over 600kg earned to 252c and averaged 231c.
