Fire has destroyed historic Mary’s Commercial Hotel in Dalby on Wednesday.
Fire crews were called to the pub around 2am this morning after one person staying in the accommodation woke to the smell of smoke and fire.
The original Dalby pub was build in the site in 1885.
Police believe the fire started accidentally at this point in time but the exact cause is not yet known.
According to reports, flames could be seen coming from the old historic pub around 1:50am.
Police said the fire still wasn’t under control at 3:30am this morning, but has now been brought under control with fire crews on the scene.
No one has been injured in the blaze and fire crews have protected nearby buildings but are currently letting the Mary's pub continue burning under close watch
Police said an investigation will be started in to the fire’s cause once crews have completely extinguished the blaze.
