After a six-year absence, New Holland will now have a presence in Emerald again with the opening of Farm and Construction Products.
Offering both the New Holland Agriculture and Construction lines, Farm and Construction Products have the equipment to complete most tasks, and if they don’t have it, they can order it in.
Farm and Construction Products also offer Digga attachments and Kanga Mini Loaders as part of their range.
While relatively new, they can call on more than 38 years experience in the industry through their sister store Farm and Garden Products at Rockhampton.
“We have had New Holland as a brand in Rockhampton, but we opened in Emerald to provide for customers in the area,” manager Tony Patterson said.
“New Holland have not really had a presence in Emerald since 2012 when McIntosh and Sons closed their business there.
“We are looking to fill that void with Farm and Construction Products.
“Rockhampton and Emerald are two very different markets.
“Emerald caters for the full horsepower range from the hobby farmer to the massive 700hp tractors.
“Rockhampton mainly operates machinery up to 150hp
“There is more broadacre farming in the Emerald area, hence the need for tractors with more horse power.
“A lot of enterprises are irrigated from the Fairbairn Dam, predominantly growing cotton, chick pea and sorghum.
“In the past we have been selling bigger tractors to growers in the Emerald area, but we haven’t really had the support network behind us.
“Being 300 kilometres apart, we felt the best way to help customers in the area was to open a store at Emerald.
“Now we have a service department and a parts department to support our customers as well.”
While the store in Emerald is only two months old, the team has a wealth of experience and is ready to help out any way they can.
“Our staff in Emerald are all locals and have loads of experience in the industry,” Mr Patterson said.
“Sales manager Jason Johnston worked for McIntosh and Sons before venturing out with his own projects.
“He brings enormous experience to the team and is just the man to get customers in the right machine for the job.
“Parts manager Erin Young is another local with so much experience in the Ag sector with tractors and spray gear.
“Along with the fully functional workshop on site, Erin can help get your machine back working for you.
“I am very confident we have the team to support Emerald with great sales, service and parts.”
