Agents Bartholomew & Co reported a yarding of 315 head of cattle at their Beaudesert Store Sale on Saturday. Weaner steers were highly sought after, selling to a strong buyer panel. Quality heifers with breeding potential sold well, whilst weaner heifers were slightly cheaper.
Jim Stirling, Darlington sold Brangus steers three years for $1495. Droughtmaster weaner steers account Ron Gehrke, Summerholm sold for $710. Tim and Dan O’Shea, Walloon sold Droughtmaster cross weaner steers for $640.
Chris and Karen Lawson, Running Creek sold a line of Charolais weaner steers topping at $625. Gutzke Rural Holdings, Coulson sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $590. Brangus cross weaner steers from Wayne Ramm, Moogerah sold for $585. Limousin cross weaner steers account Jon Wagner, Rathdowney made $445.
Ken and Carolyn Armstrong, Beaudesert sold Charolais heifers with breeding potential for $955. Ken and Carolyn also sold Droughtmaster cross heifers for $930. Charbray cross weaner heifers account Tim and Dan O’Shea sold for $490. Wayne Ramm sold Angus cross weaner heifers for $375.
Jim Stirling sold Hereford cross cows for $1245. Droughtmaster cows from Gutzke Rural Holdings sold for $1000. Gutzke Rural Holdings also sold Droughtmaster cows with young calves at foot for $820.
