NORTHERN Territory property King River Station is on the market, to be auctioned by Ray White Rural in Brisbane on August 10.
Located on the Stuart Highway 40km south of Katherine, the 42,400 hectare (104,773 acre) property is described as having significant development potential. An area of 13,060ha is in final stage of being transfer to a freehold title.
Adjoining properties in the area have been cleared and planted to a range of hay crops, as well as tropical timbers such as African mahogany and sandalwood. The Venn Horticultural area is also located nearby. The region is home to a variety of intensive agricultural farming crops which include mangoes, melons, citrus and vegetables.
King River Station currently lends itself as a breeder block with 2000 females and their offspring allocated to the river and western parts, with an additional 300 young cattle on the improved country closer to main yards. The estimated carrying capacity is 2500 breeders or 5500 young cattle.
King River Station offers year round road train access, enabling the owners to take advantage of wet season cattle prices.
Water is supplied from permanent water holes in King River, which traverses the property. There are also eight bores. A total of 12 tanks provide water storage across the property.
Improvements include two sets steel cattle yards, a three bedroom residence and machinery sheds.

The property will be sold as bare of stock with herd able to be bought by negotiation. A Komatsu 155-A dozer with scrub canopy, blade and stick rake, a Ranger front end loader with attachments and stick rake, and a diamond harrow Kelly chain are included in the sale.
