GrainGrowers 2018 Innovation Generation conference took place in Wagga Wagga this week with young farmers from all across the country gathering in the NSW Riverina town.
A wide range of speakers, activities and farm tours were undertaken as part of the conference.
The Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack did the opening address which Corporal Mark Donaldson, VC, spoke about leadership and perseverance on the morning of day one.
Breakout sessions focussed on a range of topics with presentations from Cam Parker of Victoria; Ruth Corrigan of NSW, Fledgling Farmers’ Alana Black, Daybreak Cropping’s Belinda Turner, Rimfire Resources’ Mick Hay, Harmony Ag and Food Co’s Bec Milliken, AgCommunicators’ Deanna Lush, Kenny’s Creek Angus’ Sam Burton-Taylor and more.
While Newgate Communications’ Feyi Akindoyeni spoke about the power of networks, Lifeline Australia’s Alan Woodward talked about the importance of a health mind to a healthy business and National Farmers Federation president Fiona Simson took to the stage with MC Cindy Cassidy of FarmLink for a question and answer session.
