GERMAN agricultural manufacturer Lemken, is ramping up their business in Australia and New Zealand.
The family operated company, with an annual sales figure of over $500 million, is headquartered in Germany, with plant also in India.
In a release, the company announced it was appointing Robert Wensing as managing director and sales manager of the newly formed Australia and New Zealand subsidiary.
“Following the successful establishment of Lemken in the USA and Canada, Lemken now intends to expand the network of dealers in all relevant areas of Australia and New Zealand,” it said.
Current dealers include William Adams in Australia and Norwood Farm Machinery Centre in New Zealand.
Lemken said Mr Wensig was an excellent fit for the company.
“Lemken has found a broadly experienced and passionate ag professional,” it said.
“After growing up on grazing, broadacre and irrigation farms, Robert spent several years operating a farm contracting business focusing on planting and cultivation throughout Southern NSW.
“Most recently, he managed a successful multi-brand ag dealership.”
Mr Wensig holds qualifications in electrical engineering and management.
Lemken said it intended to also appoint a service manager in the near future.
