The wind picked up and the temperature dropped but that didn’t deter crowds from walking the laneways on the final day of CRT FarmFest 2018.
There was a 15 per cent increase in exhibitors from the year before, according to Fairfax Rural Events group manager Kate Nugent.
“As the exhibitors were arriving, there was a sense of optimism, with the hope that we would see sales and most definitely strong leads, given the dry conditions,” she said.
“Over the past three days, reports coming in from exhibitors have been really encouraging because of the sales that have been made.
“We’ve got Waratah taking in over $3 million worth of orders, we have New Holland who have sold six tractors and a baler and we’re talking hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of machinery implement orders that have been taken.
“We’re a little surprised by very pleased.”
Another highlight of the final day of the event was the Battle of the Bulls competition and the Fantastic Females judging.
