THE Queensland Outback Barbarians has selected strength, power and speed for its long awaited rematch with New Orleans on Saturday.
New Orleans is the only team to have ever beaten the Outback Barbarians twice. Those Nola clashes were in 2012 and 2014.
Coach Mick Bishop has focused on hard running, hard hitting forwards capable of providing the platform for the backs.
Co-captain David West said although none of the current squad had played against New Orleans, there was a very strong focus among the current squad of setting the record straight.
“The Outback Barbarians has an amazing winning record that has been passed on from tour to tour,” West said.
“This current squad is absolutely focused on getting the job done here in Louisiana and setting the record straight.”

The squad unwound with a pool session at its hotel in New Orleans’ famed French Quarter this afternoon.
The match will be held at on 5.30pm (US time) on Saturday afternoon (8.30am Sunday Queensland time).
