Campbell and Roz Brownlie will offer their Condamine district property, Moira Runda, for sale by auction in Brisbane on Friday, July 6.
Moira Runda consists of 4855 hectares of strong brigalow belah, melon hole country situated 52 kilometres west of Condamine.
It has thoughtfully been developed and grows prolific stands of buffel, native grasses and herbages in season.
“This really is a stand-out property and can breed, background and finish cattle with scale and is located in the tightly held Condamine district on the door of numerous feedlots,” Ray White Rural Queensland selling agent, Bruce Douglas said.
The Brownlies estimate the carrying capacity to run 3000 background cattle.
There is 1457ha of cultivation which gives the property increased production from growing oats and forage sorghum for grazing, silage, and hay production.
A crop of 303ha of oats has been planted which will be included in the sale.
“Over the years this property has been very kind to us and we have carried our progeny through to heavy steers and bullocks,” Mr Brownlie said.
“The Moira Runda cattle have had a strong history of performing exceptionally well in feedlots and on domestic and export markets with 98.5 per cent MSA compliance.”
