Burnett Livestock & Realty’s meatworks and store sale on Thursday 21 May 21 saw a yarding of 832 head. Heavy bulls topped at 235c/kg, cows over 500kg topped at 220c, cows 400kg to 500kg topped at 212c and trade heifers over 400kg topped at 245c.
Feeder steers 400kg to 500kg sold to a top of 265c while steers 300kg to 400kg sold to 274c. Steers 200kg to 300kg sold to 312c. Heifers 300kg to 400kg sold for 240c and heifers 200kg to 300kg sold to 260c.
Cattle were drawn from Monto, Chinchilla, Mount Perry, Rosedale, Mundubbera, Eidsvold, Stonelands, Booubyjan, Hervey Bay, Gin Gin, Gayndah, Maryborough, Proston, Murgon, Bundaberg and all local areas.
Grey Brahman cows from Gayndah sold for 220c/$1391. Heavy Droughtmaster cross cows sold for 215c/$1244. Grey Brahman cows from Stonelands sold for 218c/$1564. Droughtmaster cows from Gin Gin sold for 215c/$1411. Brangus cross cows from Bundaberg sold for 208c/$1228.
