A top price of $11,500 was achieved at the Glenisa Angus on-property bull sale held by Ced and Rowena Wise and family, Glen Aplin, on Friday.
Overall 38 bulls sold from 53 offered to average $4592, representing 68 percent clearance.
The sale topper was Glenisa Mystic M005, is a two year old son of Jindra Double Vision (USA).
Glenisa Mystic M005 was selected for his depth of body by Glen Innes commercial breeder Dan McAlary, The Downs.
Manager of The Downs, Jason Cooke said they were keen to introduce new bloodlines and were impressed with the Glenisa sale bulls when they inspected the sale draft.
With a weight of 772kg and eye muscle area of 102 square centimetres Glenisa Mystic M005 will be joined in spring over pure commercial Angus females.
Stud principal, Ced Wise, said he was happy with the overall sale results, particularly due to the prolonged dry in southern Queensland and Northern NSW.
“It is particularly dry around here locally and that certainly had an overall affect and we were expecting that to bite,” he said.
