The state government’s GasFields Commission Queensland has announced a series of presentations and discussions to be held in June to provide practical advice on how to resolve disputes and information to help rural landholders and communities adapt to the resource industry.
The series of workshops will be held at Roma, The Big Rig, 3pm to 5pm, on Monday June 4. Then at Cecil Plains, Cecil Plains Hall, 1pm to 3:30pm, on Tuesday June 5. A third session will be held in Dalby, Dalby Leagues Club, 9am to 11am, on Wednesday June 6. The forth and final session will be held in Chinchilla, Chinchilla RSL, 2pm to 4pm, Wednesday June 6.
The Cecil Plains session on June 5 will include guest speakers:
- Peta Stilgoe, Member of the Land Court of Queensland
- John Hughes from the Mineral and Energy Resources Engagement and Compliance Unit Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy
- Anna Nottingham and Darren Brewer from the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning
