Wattle Grove Speckle Park successfully offered and sold 17 bulls to $18,000, averaging $11,058, one heifer to $26,000, four embryo packages to $3000 per embryo, averaging $2500, and eight semen packages to $900 per unit, averaging $328.

Wattle Grove Speckle Park successfully conducted an online “Rockin’ at Rocky” auction via Elite Livestock held in conduction with Beef Australia 2018 last Monday.

A complete clearance was achieved across all categories however it is the sole live female lot offered that Rocked the offering by the NSW stud.

Wattle Grove Miss Fancy N304, an April 2017 born embryo daughter of Codiak Eagle GNK 46Y, sold for $26,000 to Peter Colley, Greenhaven Speckle Park, Mitchell Island, NSW.

Mr Colley purchased Miss Fancy N304’s dam Wattle Grove 68L Fancy Pants E16 in 2017 and returned to buy the daughter as he continues to expand his herd.

The 17 bulls offered and sold recorded an average price of $11,058 with the top money of $18,000 being paid for Wattle Gove Splitter M216.

The 20-month-old son of Almarlea 4K Moo Fasa E4 weighed in at 764 kilograms and measured an eye muscle area (EMA) of 124 square centimeters.

Splitter M216 sold to Panorama Farms Speckle Park, Narrabri, NSW and will be used in both their stud and commercial herds.

Ashley and Doris McKay, Injune parted with the second top money of $17,000 securing Wattle Grove Tank M62 who was the reserve senior champion at Beef 2018.

The 25-month-old son of Codiack Putnam GNK 61Y weighed in at 970kg and measured an EMA of 128sq cm.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show junior champion, Wattle Grove He’s a Natural M120, sold for $15,000 to Travis Parry, Blue Mountain.

At 20-months the Wattle Grove 31K Eagle K1 son weighed in at 756kg and measured an EMA of 114sq cm.

Among the volume buyers Gordon and Desley Davidson, Cheshire, Tambo purchased Wattle Grove All Rocky M122 and Wattle Grove No Kidding N301 for $12,000 and $9500 respectively.

Four embryo packages consisting of three embryos each sold to a top of $3000 per embryo for the joining of Colgans Baxter CCCC1B out of Codiak Amanda GNK 42Y.

A total the three embryo packages averaged $2500 per embryo.

Eight semen packages of five units each sold to a top of $900 per unit for UPTO Specs Ulysses 25U with an average of $328 per unit recorded across the eight packages.
