AFTER 23 years of attendance, BMS LaserSat will be exhibiting at Toowoomba’s largest field day, FarmFest under its new name and brand, Vantage NEA.
To celebrate Vantage NEA’s FarmFest debut, Toowoomba office manager John Dale said the site would be a must visit, with field day specials and an extensive range of products.
Late last year, BMS LaserSat was appointed as a member of Trimble Agriculture’s global Vantage Partner Network, a group of businesses that provide expert advice to farmers on precision ag technology.
To qualify as a Vantage dealer, considered businesses had to have a proficient understanding of the entire Trimble portfolio of hardware, software and speciality services and be able to supply integrated farm management solutions to consumers.
BMS LaserSat will keep its original locations, while continuing to deliver a premium level of precision agriculture technical expertise for services, products and support to its customers.
BMS LaserSat co-founder, Lew Brandon, said the cooperation with Trimble will allow BMS to continue expanding their skills in the precision agriculture sector which will help them better service customers.
Trimble Agriculture’s general manager, Abe Hughes, Westminster, Colorado, USA said Vantage NEA & WA has extensive knowledge of the Trimble portfolio and is an exceptionally valuable reseller within the global Trimble Agriculture network.
“They have an excellent track record of customer service, so they were the obvious choice to become a cornerstone of the premium Vantage distribution network in Australia,” he said.
The Vantage NEA site will have an extensive range of Trimble products on show as well as on farm management solutions for things like water and soil management- with finance packages available.
For the first time at FarmFest, the site will have BMS LaserSat’s newly designed and manufactured four metre EZ-Blade 4000 grader scraper, which offers a more cost-efficient tool for levelling in melon-hole country, as well as the newly designed BMS Automatic X-Leveller, for adding automated cross-level functionality on a wide range of earthmoving equipment.
Another product debuting at the field days is the Field IQ ISOBUS Weather Station, a sensor that sits on top of application machinery and can determine temperature, wind speed and direction, Delta T and more.
This allows the farmer or contractor to actively monitor and record weather conditions during spraying operations.
Trimble’s latest guidance and steering solutions will be on display, including the TMX 2050 and the GFX 750 display screens.
Mr Dale said the screens would be connected to simulators, allowing farmers to view and operate the products as if they were in their tractors.
The Soil Information Solutions (SiS) testing vehicle will also be on site, with information about how a detailed insight into the soils on farm could help producers make better management decisions for cropping and grazing.
