PEOPLES Day brought a drizzle of rain to Beef Australia 2018, in Rockhampton Queensland this week.
Not only did the rain keep down the dust, it also sparked optimism in growers, which trade exhibitors said would translate to sales.
Vanderfield Biloela, branch manager, Rob Greene said moods were high on Peoples Day at the industries feature event.
“We’ve come off the back of a good summer season,” he said.
“There is a lot of confidence in the area.”
“This rain now is good for us to keep the confidence rolling,”
Mr Greenes said Vanderfields enjoyed attending.
“It’s good to be here and support the local community,” he said. “It’s always a positive week.”
Mr Greene said the week was well supported by both locals and those travelling in.
“People know its a good event, they come with a lot of confidence to this event to look and to spend,” he said.
“This is one of the only events you can go to and feel confident you sell equipment off the stand.”
Mr Greene said the Vanderfield team had set up the site with the John Deere, Munro and Manitou equipment on display.
“We’ve got all the Johne Deere equipment from the 23 horsepower (17 kilowatt) compact tractors to the 115 kW (155 hp) 6155M
Mr Greene said the John Deere range of mowers and side by side vehicles were attracting interest.
“Gators are very popular for the man on the land.”
