AGCO have launched seven new models of Valtra tractor.
Based on the global series platform, the new A series tractors range in power between 56 and 97 kilowatts (75 and 130 horsepower).
Agco, Valtra product manager, Paul Morris said the fourth generation tractors feature Agco tier four engines.
“The three smallest have three-cylinder 3.3 litre engines, while the four larger models have four-cylinder 4.4 litre engines,” he said.
“Combined with the high pressure common rail injection systems, the new Valtra engines produce high levels of power and torque very economically.”
Mr Morris said the A series featured a new modular chassis design, which allowed a broad model line-up to be manufactured with three chassis types available.
“It comes in a short chassis with a 2250 millimetre wheelbase, a medium with a 2430 mm wheelbase and a long chassis with a 2500 mm wheelbase,” he said.
Mr Morris said a new feature was a 12 by 12, 40 kilometre an hour transmission.
“This is made up of six gears in two ranges to reduce overlaps and minimise range changes,” he said.
Mr Morris said depending on chassis, PTO or three-speed options were available and the three cylinder models have a limited sip differential in the front axle as standard with an optional hydraulically activated differential lock available.
Mr Morris said the fourth generation A Series featured a brand new cab design which offered more space.
“It is both comfortable and ergonomic, making the tractor pleasant and easy to use,” he said.
“Visibility from the cab is excellent through 360 degrees, with a high visibility roof providing excellent vision when using a front loader.”
