Young and old joined together in Pittsworth this morning to remember those who have fallen, on a day which marks the 103rd anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli.
Hundreds of people lined the street in front of the Pittsworth School of the Arts, paying their respects to those who have sacrificed so much.
Chair of the Pittsworth ANZAC committee, Ros Scotney said she’d never seen a crowd quite so big.
“In my 22 years as chair of the committee, I honestly think this is the biggest crowd we’ve had,” she said.
“It’s great to see so many kids here.
“It’s a credit to the schools for emphasising the importance of ANZAC Day.
“Pittsworth is a wonderful community and it certainly shows its support.”
