AFTER ten years growing the business, Kenway and Clark, group sales manager, Kevin Traynor is set to retire.
Poached from a construction machinery company, Mr Traynor said his first day at Kenway and Clark Moree felt like coming home.
“I already knew the team from Kenway and Clark,” he said.
“I’d grown up with them.
“I’d gone to school with them.
“So when I walked in that first day I didn’t need any introductions.”
Mr Traynor said he’d loved his time at the company and considered it a significant achievement building the business from three branches to the current four.
Kenway and Clark are based in the NSW towns of Moree, Inverell and Wee Waa, as well as a southern Qld presence through the branch at Goondiwindi.
“I’d like to think I’ve been able to do some things that have made a difference,” Mr Traynor said.
Kenway and Clark, dealer principle, Peter Burey said Mr Traynor would be missed by colleagues and customers alike.
“Kevin has led his sales team well and they have seen some of our best sales figures for the Case IH franchise” he said.
“These results are reflective of Kevin’s leadership, and I thank him for his dedication to the role,”
Mr Traynor said one of the highlights of his career had been mentoring youth in the industry.
“I really enjoy working with young people and seeing them succeed professionally and moving up the ladder,” he said.
“I get a real kick out of that.”
