Prime cattle
Grand Champion Prime Beast of Warwick Show was awarded to a Limousin heifer finished on grain at Risdon Park Feedlot. The heifer was exhibited by Bill and Nancy Gross, Strathburn, Warwick. It went on to be purchased at auction by Stanthorpe Quality Meats for $3.36-a-kilogram and weighed in at 480kg to return $1613.
The overall highest aggregate of points of the Warwick prime cattle show was a tie between the Coy family and Benjamin Gross.
Champion Pen of Three went to the Coy family’s exhibit, while Reserve Champion Pen of Three was awarded to Bill and Nancy Gross.
Both the Champion Vealer or Yearling and reserve champion were taken out by the Coy family.
Prime sheep
The Warwick Show’s prime sheep Supreme Champion of Show was awarded to the Shelley Family Trust’s 47kg plus single lamb.
Champion Pen of Prime Lambs was awarded to Bill and Nancy Gross, Strathburn, Warwick.
