Western Qld relays the baton

Smiles aplenty as the Queen's message travels through outback Queensland

Commonwealth Games fever hit outback Queensland last week and over the weekend, where plenty of people turned out to cheer on the Queen's Baton Relay as it passed through.

Towns around the west were smiling last week. From Cloncurry to Blackall and Pentland and stops in between, communities have been cheering on their local heroes carrying the Queen’s message to the Commonwealth Games.
