Mareeba Combined Agents penned a small total of 61 head for this week’s prime and store sale. The rain affected yarding consisted of a dozen fat bullocks, eight good fat cows, two heavy bulls and balance was made up of store cows, steers, heifers and younger store bulls. Three local meat processors along with a few local traders attended the sale.
Local trade steers sold from 255c to 256.2c, local trade cows made from 213c to 217c, and bulls suitable for slaughter sold from 187c to 227c.
Store steers topped at 245c, store heifers reached 190c and younger store bulls sold to a top of 223c.
