The Wandoan property Myola was sold for sold $5.3 million while Iolanthe was passed in at a GDL auction today.

THE Wandoan property Myola was sold for $5.3 million, while the Iolanthe was passed in for $6.5m at a GDL auction today (Friday). 

Offered by Rodney Pulford, the two outstanding properties in the highly regarded Wandoan district attracted 12 registered bidders.

Myola was bought by Cowan Keys, who has country at both Taroom and Wandoan.

Iolanthe is located 24km north east of Wandoan and covers 1800 hectares (4448 acres). Myola is located 10km south of Wandoan and contains 1490ha (3482 acres). 

The sale price of Myola is equal to about $3557/ha ($1522/acre).

Iolanthe is described as slightly undulating brigalow, belah, bottle tree and vine scrub country. 

The entire property has been developed and established to a dense cover of mainly buffel pastures. 

Water is supplied from two equipped bores pumping through mainly 63mm pipe to several nests and tanks, and supplying 22 troughs, the homestead and cattle yards. There are also four dams. 

Iolanthe is fenced into 17 main paddocks. About 280ha is currently farmed for forage and finishing crops. 

Structural improvements include a three bedroom homestead, machinery shed, hay shed, vehicle shed, workshop and workers cottage. 

Myola is described as 1490ha of slightly undulating brigalow, belah and bottle tree country. The property has been selectively cleared and established to buffel. 

Watered is supplied from a share bore supplying eight poly tanks through 63mm blue line pipe and servicing numerous troughs and yards as well as seven dams. There is also an equipped back up bore. 

Myola is divided into seven main grazing paddocks. 

Improvements include a large timber homestead, machinery shed, and a hay shed.
