More than 1200 dairy products from across the country will go head-to-head at the Dairy Industry Association of Australia’s 2018 Australian Dairy Product Competition in Werribee in March.
The competition, which runs from March 5-7 is the only technical national dairy competition in Australia.
The competition was first held in 1895, by one of the DIAA’s founding bodies, the Butter Factories’ Managers Association.
This year, a team of more than 40 judges and stewards will taste the products and award medals and industry trophies in more than 100 categories, including cheese, ice-cream, butter, yogurt and milk.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Melbourne on May 11, 2018.
Gold medal winners at the competition will be invited to enter the Australian Grand Dairy Awards, administered by Dairy Australia.
