They’re the mums who just wanted an excuse to get dressed up.
Glenmorgan State School’s Parents & Citizens’ Association works hard to support twelve children at the small school, usually fundraising through trail bike rides and campdrafts.
School principal Caitlin Crothers says this year, on March 3, their efforts will turn to also hosting a black tie event ‘Glenmorgan Glitz & Glam Gala’.
“We’re really fortunate to have such a supportive tight-knit community in Glenmorgan and this year the school parents wanted to try something different,” Ms Crothers said.
“We thought what better way than to go under the stars at school.”
The event will raise much-needed funds to upgrade the school’s playground facilities and improve the educational outcomes for students.
“The school is at the heart of our community and any support to improve its facilities goes a long way,” Ms Crothers said.
Tickets are only $80 and include canapes, dinner, beverage on arrival, lucky door entry and all-night live entertainment by Golden Child.
A live auction will be held on the night, featuring donated items from artist Carol McCormack, renowned photographers Scott Bridle and Chantel McAlister.
