More than 80 vendors from an area spanning Mackay out to Springsure, down to Roma and further south to Grafton in northern NSW will present a meticulously selected draft of 415 lots drawn from 14 breeds and their composites during the February All Breeds Bull and Female Sale being held at CQLX Gracemere on February 13 to 14.
Sale agent James Saunders, Landmark Rockhampton, said the sale offers a great opportunity for prospective buyers to bid on wide range of breeds in one convenient central location.
“A solid draft has been catalogued for this years sale, the bulls and females being offered are packed with great genetics which will provide great advantages and value money for all astute commercial breeders and stud operators,” Mr Saunders said.
“The sale attracts a vast geographical stretch of bidders and this year we have interested parties coming from Mackay, Nebo, Collinsville, Alpha, Jericho, Taroom, Bundaberg, Gympie, Rockhampton, Calliope and Myriam Vale who’ll be looking to bolster their breeding programs, and diversify the bloodlines in their herds,” he said.
Brahmans will again be numerically the largest breed on offer this year with 139 Brahman bulls (Lots 1 to 139), three used Brahman bulls (Lots 140 to 142) and 51 Brahman females (Lots 143 to 193) all to go under the hammer on Tuesday, February 13 from 9am.
The sale action will continue from 9am on Wednesday, February 14, with the remaining breeds and their composites to have their time in the ring.
The second day of the sales’ proceedings will begin with an impeccable line-up of 90 Droughtmaster bulls (Lots 194 to 283), 4 Limousin bulls (Lots 284 to 287), seven Simbrah bulls (Lots 288 to 294), and 12 Charolais bulls (Lots 295 to 306) being offered.
Later in the day 16 Charbray bulls (Lots 307 to 322), two Senepol bulls (Lots 323 and 324), six Gelbvieh bulls (Lots 325 to 330), 25 Simmental bulls (Lots 331 to 355), and two Simmbrangus bulls (Lots 356 and 357), and one Ultrablack bull (Lot 358) will be available for purchase.
The sale will conclude with an offering of 15 Angus bulls (Lots 359 to 373), one Grey Brangus bull (Lot 374) and 41 Brangus bulls (Lots 375 to 415).
