THE major Dalby grain and cattle property Bellfields was passed in for $12 million at a Ray White Rural auction in Toowoomba this morning.
Marketing agent Roger Lyon, Ray White Rural, Dalby, said three parties had registered to bid on the property.
Bellfields comprises of 2012 hectares (4972 acres) in 13 freehold titles. It has a good balance of soil types ranging from plains country, belah/softwood scrub to undulating coolibah. With about 1500ha of cultivation, Bellfields is a unique property and lends itself to grain and cattle production.
Improvements include numerous sheds, barns, impressive stables and 1300 tonne of grain storage. The main steel cattle yards work 400 head, have an undercover work area, vet crush and scales and are backed up with a second wooden set of yards with a 100 head capacity. There are six bores and four dams.
