Export cattle were cheaper with bullocks easing the most with trade and stores firm at Toowoomba on December 4.


A total yarding of 844 cattle at Elders Harristown saleyards on December 4, Elders share 545 head.  Export cattle cheaper with bullocks easing the most with trade and stores firm.  

Best bulls from Bradley Frohloff, Yarraman reaching 263.2c.  Best bullocks from Brian Whitbread, Millmerran reached 278.2c to return $1649 with two pens of bullocks from Kuhl Farming selling for $1745.  

Heavy feeder steers from Brian and Lisa Bernier, Cambooya sold in pen lots to 306.2c to return $1632. Heavy heifers selling to 277.2c with heifers from RJ and JM Jannusch making $1690.  

Cows reduced in price selling to a top of 228.2c.  Only a small number of butcher trade cattle yarded with most selling from 285-291c.  Trade weight feeders from G and W Motley, Plainby sold 323.2c at $1160 each.  Angus steers from Joe Richardson, Wellcamp sold to 352.2c.  

Lightweight steers sold to 348.2c, Hereford steers from W and B Tonscheck sold to 341.2c.  Vealers to slaughter from Selwyn and Dianne Welke, Goombungee sold to 308.2c to return $986.  Cows and calves from Greg Collins, Blackbutt sold to $1700 with lightweight Angus cows and calves in pen lots sold to $1510.
