WINDORAH’S kids and adults alike will be thrilled to hear news that the LNP has announced a funding commitment of $1.5 million to build a swimming pool for the town if they are successful in the state election.
The pool was announced by Gregory MP Lachlan Millar, who said he was thrilled to be able to offer the rural town such a vital piece of community infrastructure.
The funding, available through the LNP’s Royalties for the Region Program, will deliver a 25 metre lap pool, with a child-friendly shallow end.
“Not only will this project boost physical and social activity for the Windorah community, it will provide jobs in the local area,” Mr Millar said.
“Constructing a new 25 metre pool at Windorah is all part of our plan to build a better Queensland by building a better Gregory.”
LNP Deputy Leader Deb Frecklington said only the LNPs Lachlan Millar will deliver the swimming pool for the Windorah community.
