There were 904 cattle yarded at Toowoomba on Monday, where the market was firm for most descriptions.


There were 904 cattle yarded at Elders Harristown Saleyards on Monday.

Export cattle sold to a dearer trend with trade cattle firm with quality stores dearer. Best bull a/c SJ & DJ Welke Goombungee sold to $2220.

Best bullocks a/c Paul and Julie Maher off the oats crop sold to 279.2c to return $1858. A heavy bullock a/c PJ & NJ Rubb, Haden sold to $1912. No heavy feeders were yarded.

Heavy heifers a/c Mike and Mary Donohoe sold to $1193. No high yielding cows were yarded with best cows a/c MD & LJ Matthewson 210.2c to return $1229. A heavy Brangus cow a/c Graham and  Danny Millar returned $1510.

Best trade steers a/c The Weier family, Clifton sold to 295c to return $1504. Trade heifers a/c Ray Black sold to 293.2c. Trade weight feeder steers a/c JC Harth, Goombungee sold to 319.2c. A line of 26 Angus cross steers ex Condamine sold to 324.2c in pen lots to return $1039.

Light weight mixed sex calves a/c Judy Anne P/L, Cooyar topped the day at 316.2c. Light condition Santa cows and calves in pen lots sold to $1260.
