A huge crowd of 150 people turned up for the first ever BJF Invitational Limousin Bull Sale held in the brand new undercover sale complex at Yarraman last Saturday with 69 bid cards registered.
A total of 45 bulls and 13 genetic packages were offered at the sale.
The average weight for the 45 sale bulls was 785kg, rump fat 8.6mm, rib fat 6.4mm, EMA 131cm, IMF 3.8pc and scrotal 37cm.
Adam and Kahlia Williamson sold the top price bull for $15,500 to Anthony Ferris from Northern NSW. The polled bull A.T Loaded was sired by Canadian super sire Greenwood Zambuka. At 23 months he weighed 886kg, scanned 12mm rump fat, 10mm rib fat, 136cm EMA, 4pc IMF and 38cm scrotal.
The second highest priced bull, BJF Derby Hulk, was sold by Bradley and Jodie Frohloff for $9,500 to Ferling Pastoral Company, Kilcoy. He is a black polled RPY Paynes Derby son.

At 18 months he weighed 754kg with rump fat 12mm, rib fat 8mm and EMA 134cm and 36.5cm scrotal.
The third highest priced bull Lochinvar Lancelot was sold by Simon and Kerri McCarthy for $8,500 to Greg Bowden, Moura.
He is a polled son of Red Rock Caesar and at 29 months of age he weighed 988kg with rump fat of 15mm, rib fat 12mm and EMA 144cm.
Bradley and Jodie Frohloff were delighted with the studs first ever on-farm sale with bulls going as far south as Dunedoo, NSW and north to Moura and Biloela plus many places in between including Chinchilla, Woolooga, Kilcoy, Millmerran, Delany’s Creek, Esk and Beaudesert.
Overall 40 out of 45 bulls and 10 of 13 genetic packages were sold for a clearance of 86pc, which was a great result for the first sale and extremely dry conditions Mr Frohloff said.
