With some excellent rainfall recorded in the local area, a smaller yarding of mixed cattle was presented on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale. 201 head were yarded at the first sale under the new biosecurity regulations.
Shane and Neta Malone, Kobble Creek, sold Santa steers for $1110-$1210. Baker & Haseler Estates, Daybora, sold a line of Droughtmaster heifers for $795. Terry Dredge, Kilcoy, sold a line of Droughtmaster milk tooth steers for $1080. Karen McMahon, Woodford, sold Brahman cross weaners, with steers making $810 and heifers $710. TS Carberry, Conondale, sold Senepol steer calves for $680. Paul Keylar, Samford, sold Droughtmaster calves, with males making $640 and heifers $620. Kim Wilkie, Armstrong Creek, sold Red Angus calves for $490-$570.
