TOCAL College, in partnership with SafeWork NSW are offering subsidised quad bike training to eligible farmers and workers.
Glen Walker business development manager Tocal College said that the one day practical course would help farmers and workers apply safety measures around the use of quad bikes on farm.
Recognising that travel can be a burden for rural participants Mr Walker said that Tocal were willing to go to them.
Farmers organising a minimum of six participants can request a quad safety course run on their own farm.
Mr Walker said that if farmers got in contact with them they could try to slot courses in when they were in the area.
“We’re heading out to Wilcannia and running a series through Western NSW from the first week of September”
In 2016 quad bikes accounted for the highest number of deaths and injuries overall.
