Brangus weaner steers 357.2c/kg at Moreton


There was a yarding of 514 cattle at Moreton on Tuesday, with buyers operating under reduced rates.


Agents Boyd, O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 514 cattle at Moreton on Tuesday. All buyers were present but were operating under reduced rates. Values for young cattle returning to the paddock remained firm while export types sold to cheaper rates.

B & R Jackwitz, Grandchester sold Euro x yearling heifers for 318.2c/kg weighing 207kg to return $660. G & K Hahn, Gatton sold yearling steers for 341.2c weighing 300kg to return $1023. JVTP Pty Ltd, Purga sold Charbray heifers for 310.2c weighing 327kg to return $1014.

K & J Horrex, Crows Nest sold pasture steers for 328.2c weighing 368kg to return $1208. Droughtmaster pasture ox account N & L Ford sold for 290.2c weighing 630kg to return $1828. J Byrne, Gatton sold Brangus steers for 357.2c weighing 256kg to return $915.

N McLaughlin sold feeder heifers for 322.2c weighing 355kg to return $1143. Toogoolawah State School sold grain assist steers for 325.2c weighing 490kg to return $1593. Redbank Trust sold santa cows for 235.2c weighing 523kg to return $1230. A & A Morris P’ship sold cows for 240c weighing 705kg to return $1692. I & J Lindenmayer sold Angus bull for 256.2c weighing 950kg to return $2433.
