TANDARRA, a 1675 hectare (4140 acre) Goondwindi cattle property sold for $3.675 million at Ray White Rural auction on Thursday.
Offered by Boonah-based Dick and Lyn Atkinson, the property was bought by former Theodore cattle producers David and Lois White on behalf on their Brisbane based son Scott.
Marketing agent Mal Gollan said eight parties had registered to bid at the auction.
The price is equal to about $2194/ha ($888/acre), placing it well pre-auction expectations.
The losing bidders were Doug and Susie Barnett, Boroma Downs, Croppa Creek, NSW.
Located 65km east of Goondiwindi, the property features 700ha of fully developed improved pastures. There are 12 paddocks and a 25km exclusion fencing.
