BARTHOLOMEW and Co yarded 797 predominantly Charolais infused cattle at the 12th annual Euro show and sale in Beaudesert on Saturday. There was strong competition for heavier feeder steers but the weaner steers and heifers stole the show, once again, reaching levels above vendors’ expectations.
The Hills Family, Chinghee, sold Charbray steers 18 months for $1545. Limousin weaner steers account Paradise Creek Pastoral Co, Laidley, sold for $1300. Dick and Cate Buckham, Tarome, sold Charolais-cross steers 15 months for $1255. Santa-cross steers 15 months account Grahame and Scott Drynan, Innisplain, sold for $1250. John and Amanda Thomas, Laravale, sold Bazadais-cross steers 15 months for $1190.
Abbeydale, Milbong, sold Charbray weaner steers for $1055. Keira Farms, Mutdapilly, sold Simbrah weaner steers for $1050. Palen Creek Correctional Centre, sold Charbray weaner steers for $1035. San Ed Cattle Co, Anduramba, sold Charbray weaner steers for $970. Steven and Jane Struss, Gleneagle, sold Santa steers 12 months for $940.
