Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 748 head of cattle at Moreton on April 18. Values continued to remain very firm with little change in the trade cattle and feeder types. All others sold on a dearer market, especially bullocks and cows which met spirited competition and sold to rates dearer than last week.

Brahman cross pasture steers from Qld Natural Beef, Toogoolawah sold for 331.2c weighing 390kg to return $1291. Charolais cross feeder steers from P Murray, Bromelton sold for 337.2c weighing 440kg to return $1483.
D&M Heck, Fernvale sold Limousin cross grainfed heifers for 334.2c weighing 405kg returning $1353. D&M Heck also sold Limousin cross grainfed steers for 331.2c weighing 450kg to return $1490. Medium Droughtmaster cross cows from J&W Daniels, Benobble sold for 265.2c weighing 550kg returning $1458.
