DES and Bev Sipos have put the 154,300 hectare (381,121 acres) Lower Gulf aggregation Woodstock Station on the market, to be auctioned in Townsville on May 12.
Located 210km north of Richmond, the property – which includes Glenora Station – is being sold as a fully operational cattle breeding property on a walk-in, walk-out basis.
There will be about 5870 females included in the sale with bulls, weaners and calves taking the herd to well over 7500 head of branded cattle. Charolais and Charbray bulls have been used in the mostly Brahman herd to breed the earlier maturing type of animal.
Woodstock is fenced into 12 main paddocks with extensive laneways and there are three sets of cattle yards.
The vendors have also concentrated on improving the pastures over the past eight years with the aerial seeding of stylos such as wyncasia, verano and seca.
Water is a feature of Woodstock Station with 73 bores, dams and three seasonal river systems. There is also the potential for productivity enhancement through fodder crops and horticultural enterprise is a possibility with the water availability.
Structural improvements include a four bedroom homestead, a two bedroom cottage, four rooms with ensuites and a further 10 rooms. There is also a workshop and machinery shed, hay and storage sheds and an aircraft hangar.
