Stockyard Beef has again been recognised at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show and awarded champion for their Stockyard Gold brand in the Grain-fed category, as well as receiving a Silver Medal in the Wagyu Category.
The award is Stockyard’s 48th, confirming their position as Australia’s most awarded beef brand and follows a string of recent accolades including five major awards already received in 2016.
Stockyard Managing Director, Lachie Hart, said the recognition was testament to Stockyard’s commitment to producing the highest quality products for Australian and international consumers.
“We are extremely honoured to receive awards that recognise the care we take to produce exceptional beef,” Mr Hart said.
“The award continues a succession of accolades we have received in recent years, which is something we are very proud of and want to continue to achieve.
“The success of our company wouldn’t be possible without the commitment our team demonstrated through all levels of our supply chain and we are extremely thankful for their ongoing passion and dedication,” he said.
Judged by a panel of chefs, restaurateurs and industry leaders, the Stockyard Gold was awarded thanks to its visual presentation, tenderness and overall flavours.
Stockyard Gold is produced at the Hart family’s award winning Kerwee feedlot, located at Jondaryan in Queensland’s Darling Downs from specially selected Angus genetics that are raised on a nutritionally formulated high energy grain ration for 200 days using locally grown produce.
The Sydney Royal Fine Food Competitions reward excellence in Australian produce and are held seasonally in summer and spring. The spring season judges branded beef, regional food, branded lamb, deli meat, pasta and olive oil.
Stockyard specialises in the production of grain fed beef, particularly high quality Angus and Wagyu varieties that are distributed throughout Australia and 15 countries worldwide.
