A total of 402 head were yarded at Stariha Auctions Laidley cattle sale on Thursday. The market was stronger for all types, with weaner steers and feeder steers particularly strong.

Peter Visagie, Thornton, sold Droughtmaster medium cows for $1100-$1260.

John Krebs, Forest Hill, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1360 and 30-month-old steers for $1420.

Evans Family, Ma Ma Creek, sold Droughtmaster heifers, 14 months, for $930.

Bernie Doherty, Dundas, sold 18 month old Droughtmaster heifers for $1060 and 24-month-old steers for $1400.

Viewlands Farms, Junction View, sold 2 tooth Charbray steers for $1250.

Steiny’s Earthmoving, Glamorganvale, sold 24-month-old Droughtmaster steers for $1340.

Beaconsfield Trading, Blanchview, sold a line of 16-month-old Angus steers for $1195.

Abbeville, Mt Berryman, sold 18 month old Charolais steers for $1200.

Darren Schultz, Mulgowie, sold Droughtmaster steers, 20 months, for $1230.

Ross & Cheryl Steinhardt, Blenheim, sold 20-month-old Charbray steers for $1220.

Peter & Lyn Vogler, sold a line of 16-18 month old Charbray steers for $1165.

Geoff Steinhardt, Ropeley, sold milk tooth Droughtmaster steers for $1000.

Russell Bird, Black Duck Creek, sold Charbray steers, 6-8 months, for $700.

Jilrift, Thornton, sold 8-10 month old weaners, with steers making $865 and heifers $800.

Bulls sold well with a Charolais bull selling for $1920 and Charolais male calves, 5-6, months selling for $700.
