There was a quality yarding of 625 cattle at Moreton on Tuesday.

Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 625 cattle at Moreton on Tuesday.  Values remained firm due to the good quality yarding of veal and yearlings. Feeders were easier as were trade.  The export market was easier. Overall yarding quality was good.

Limousin x yearling heifers account Joan Doonan of Calvert sold for 324.2c weighing 205kg to return $664.  Yearling steers account John Doonan sold for 416c weighing 275kg to return $1144.  Pasture heifers account B & S Ness of Tamborine sold for 307.2c weighing 440kg to return $1351.  Angus x pasture fed steers account Campview Grazing of Kilcoy sold for 282.2c weighing 587kg to return $1656.  Pasture ox account Campview grazing sold for 276.2c weighing 632kg to return $1746.  M Ryan of Ripley sold feeder steers for 296.2c weighing 501kg to return $1484.

R & T Harris of Fairney View sold grain assist steers for 300c per kilo weighing 590kg to return $1770.  B & S Ness sold grain assist heifers for 307.2c weighing 440kg to return $1351.  Medium cows account San Ed of Esk sold for 216.2c weighing 587kg to return $1270.  K & D Bullock of Josephville sold Charbray cows for 240.2c weighing 810kg to return $1945.  R Dixon of Ropeley sold Brangus bull for 264.2c weighing 500kg to return $1321.
