This will be the eighth year that Peter and Toni Rauchle, Springside Simmentals, have participated in the event and Mr Rauchle said the format provides a great opportunity for visitors to learn more about their operation.
"It's a good way to meet up with producers who're interested in our cattle in a relaxed non-sale setting, and we usually end up selling a few bulls and females on the day," he said.
Benjarra Limousin stud principal Ben Passmore has joined the open day circuit for the first time this year.
"Visitors can come and inspect our yearling bulls, our show team, and bulls we're preparing for a sale at the Roma Saleyards on September 13. We'll also have a selection of females here for sale on the day," he said.
"It's a great way to promote the stud and breed. Guests can have a look at what we're producing and enjoy the day.
Paul and Lisa Laycock from High Country Droughtmasters will be showcasing the 62 registered and herd bulls and 20 registered females they'll be offering at their annual on-property sale on August 24.
Mrs Laycock said they'll also have some of their stud sires, breeders, yearling bulls and weaners on display.
"The main aim for us will be to show producers what we do differently when it comes to genetics, preparation and selection of our sale team," she said.
David Reid, Reid Charolais, said he decided to host an open day this year after seeing the value in the event after having previously being involved as a guest.
"We've been selling bulls in the area for a while, but the open day will be good way to increase awareness about our stud, and our breeding objectives," he said.
"We'll have our draft on display for the Ticoba Red Bull Sale taking place on August 23 at Mundubbera, and we'll have bulls available for private sale in the paddock."
Open day veterans Scott and Rebecca Dunlop, Dunlop Santa Gertrudis will have their sale bulls on display as well as 70 to 80 paddock bulls available for purchase.
"The open day is a good way for the general public to have a look at the article we're producing in a low-stress atmosphere."
