Numbers increased by 745 head to 5927 at Dalby on Wednesday. The usual panel of buyers was present and all were operating across most classes. Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed at the time of this interim report had gained 7c to 14c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 12c dearer and a very good line up of heavy weight yearling heifers to feed improved by 17c. Cows were once again well supplied and prices remained firm to 6c better.
C2 yearling steers to feed sold from 265.2c to 292.2c, averaging 287.6c to be 7c dearer. C2 yearling heifers to feed made from 231.2c to 250.2c, averaging 240.2c to be up 17c on last week's sale. C3 grown steers received from 266.2c to 270c, averaging 269.5c, less 1c. C3 grown heifers sold from 234.2c to 249.2c, averaging 243.7c, up 18c. D4 cows sold from 196.2c to 211.2c, averaging 203.8c to be 1c dearer. C3 bulls made from 212.2c to 261.2c, averaging 243.5c, less 16c.
