There was a large reduction in numbers to 1365 head at Dalby on Wednesday. The usual buyers were in attendance and operating across all categories. Prices responded to the short supply, with most classes improving. Medium weight yearling steers to feed sold to a dearer trend and medium weight yearling heifers were in demand. Cows experienced improvement of 9c to 11c and up to 13c/kg on plain conditioned lines.
C2 yearling steers to feed sold from 244.2c to 292.2c to average 276.7c, up 1c. C3 yearling heifers to feed made from 235.2c to 262.2c, averaging 258.4c. Grown D2 steers received from 170c to 205c, averaging 175.5c, back 12c. D1 cows to restockers made from 148.2c to 160.2c, averaging 156c to be up 9c on the previous week. C3 bulls sold from 236.2c to 268.2c, averaging 251.8c, easing 3c.
