For Queensland’s primary producers, the Ekka is now in full swing.
Stud cattle judging commenced on Thursday and will continue until late Friday afternoon, when the interbreed Champion of Champions is announced.
Friday will also include the lively judging of the Queensland Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association Young Auctioneers and the Queensland Country Life Miss Showgirls.
On Monday, a Brisbane girl turned cattle lover was named the champion school led steer parader at the Royal Queensland Show.
The Breakfast Creek Hotel have again shown they aren’t afraid to open their wallets for a quality steak after paying $52/kg dressed weight for the grand champion steer on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Ray White Rural and Bentley’s kicked off the Ekka in fine style, hosting the annual City Meets Country event.
