BARTHOLOMEW and Co yarded 615 cattle at the 8th Annual Santa Gertrudis Show and Sale at Beaudesert on Saturday. Auctioneer Garth Weatherall said feeder steers sold to a dearer market, as did weaner steers, which reached values high above vendor’s expectations. Females were also in demand, he said.

Santa-cross steers 18 months account Trevor Bain, Cedar Vale, sold for $1315. Lindsay Investments, Logan Reserve, sold Santa steers 18 months for $1295. The Beutel Family, Warrillee Santas, Bunburra, sold Santa steers 15 months for $1335. 18 month old Santa steers from Singh Enterprises, Beaudesert, sold for $1300. Cunningham Pastoral, Dugandan, sold Santa steers 14 months for $1110.
