Similar to some other markets, the approaching Easter break reduced the supply of stock at Dalby to less than half of last week’s level, with yarding of 2645 cattle.
A fair panel of buyers was present and most were operating. Medium and heavy weight steers to feed generally sold to strong demand, while the heifer portion experienced some small improvements.
The market responded to the short supply of cows and prices lifted by 10c to 12c/kg.
