COUNTRY music lovers are invited to celebrate Easter with a free Good Friday Country Gospel concert, featuring the Walmsley Brothers, in Kingaroy.
Held at the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt on March 30, starting at 6pm, the concert will also feature local artists and is presented by Kingaroy District Ministers Association.
The concert is a follow-on from last year's inaugural successful event which saw hundreds pack the forecourt under a clear western Qld sky which made for a special Easter atmosphere.
Award-winning talent in their own right, Brendon, Nathan and Jared Walmsley combine to
create a special musical experience.
Having now performed together for more than 20 years from outback rodeos to Australia’s major country music festivals, the Walmsley Brothers have established themselves as a dynamic presence on Australia’s musical landscape.
Jared Walmsley said it was a great opportunity to share the true Easter message through music.
"We really enjoyed last year's concert. The feedback we had was very positive so we were keen to do it all again this year," Mr Walmsley said.
"It's a great opportunity to enjoy a free, family-friendly night out."
Their songs are not just catchy tunes - they are perceptive stories about the joys and struggles of life; the importance of love and family; and the strength that comes through faith.
There will also be a guest appearance by yarn spinner and Queensland Country Life columnist, The Ringer.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and/or picnic rugs to enjoy the evening.
A Men's Shed barbecue will also be available on the night.
